International Tax Planning Manager with a $20+ billion growing and acquisitive global company.

Summary

My client is expanding its tax department and is looking for a high impact/value creating International Tax Manager.

In this role you will partner with the business to understand and communicate tax impacts of business initiatives (e.g., foreign cash repatriation), assist on tax analysis related to business growth and expansion (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, and investments) and advise on business and legal entity realignments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Development, Legal, Treasury, and Accounting business group leaders in:
    • Understanding and communicating tax impacts of business initiatives (e.g., foreign cash repatriation).
    • Assisting on tax analysis related to business growth and expansion (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, and investments).
    • Advising on business and legal entity realignments.
    • Model and maintain tax attributes (e.g., U.S. Foreign Tax credit, GILTI, U.S. and local tax basis, E&P, etc.).
    • Research and analyze significant tax topics, including new and proposed U.S. and foreign tax legislation (including Pillar 2), U.S. Treasury Regulations, etc.
    • Consult with outside advisors to develop tax analysis and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships.
    • Manage multiple projects and communicate results to the team and leadership.
    • Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization.
    • Present the economic and technical aspects of business transactions to diverse audiences. Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, and/or a JD or LLM.
      • 2+ years' experience consulting and advising on U.S. inclusions and reporting relative to non-U.S. operations including E&P, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits.
      • 3+ years' experience with tax technical research, writing and modeling of tax attributes and optimization strategies.
      • Public accounting firm or large multi-national corporation experience.
      • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, robust analytical skills, innovative thinking, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Strong project management skills - ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
